While the split jump with 1/2 turn has experienced a massive boost in popularity in the 2017-2020 quadrennium when performed from side position, the same cannot be said for the split jump with full turn, which remains a missing person despite the fact that it could be worth an E if performed from the side (+0.1 for dance elements performed from the side).

Seeing the massive and disturbing trouble that gymnasts have trying to hit 180 and stay vertical when landing a split 1/2 from side position, it is not surprising that they have not run through the streets in excitement about upgrading to the full. A step too far.
