In the category of “probably inadvisable,” we have the split jump with full turn on the beam. While the skill is valued at a very useful D (0.4), the prospect of split jumping a full turn and landing with the feet square enough on the beam to get credit for the element—and not fall into the abyss—is just a step too far even for most of the world’s top beam workers. Never mind trying to show something resembling a real 180-degree position.
There are always a few particularly ambitious beamers who will go for it (or, more likely, the leap version), but for the most part, this element is deemed not worth the risk.
