The description of this element was revised in the 2025 code update. Prior to that, any sideward roll with straddled legs received C (0.3) value. In 2025, the version with hand support was clarified to be a B element, while only a version with no hand support would be given C value.

A C is the maximum value given to any acro element on beam that doesn’t involve flight, the assumption being that having contact with the beam fundamentally makes an acro element less risky than one in which the body leaves the beam. A logical rule of thumb but not always actually the case.
