About
When the version of a skill with a 1/2 turn is almost entirely extinct, you know the version with a 1/1 turn is completely kaput. The toe-on forward is fairly undervalued compared to the other circles, as it requires more precision than the backward toe-on and yet is valued exactly the same. Why do the forward when you can do the backward and actually be looking at what you’re doing while you do it?

As such, this is among the rarest full-twisting pirouette elements on bars, with no one competing it currently and no one looking likely to compete it because why would you? It’s super hard.

Despite Hanneke Hoefnagel getting it named after herself as recently as 2006, there is no extant video evidence of her doing the skill, but the named skill identification has been updated as of 2022. This skill used to be credited to her as both the reverse grip and L grip versions (because who can tell), but was amended to be only the reverse grip version.
