The thing about a tour jete is that it’s a very specific leap involving a split position hit at an angle to the floor. Think of it like a 1/2-twist into a sissone.

In general gymnastics parlance, tour jete has come to be used to describe all manner of turning split leaps (“tour jete 1/2” and so on), which is not really correct because those elements are prescribed to hit a split position parallel to the floor, which is not what happens in a tour jete.
