Your instructions
1. Vote for the best routine
2. Don’t get upset when this inevitably devolves into a twitter popularity contest. It’s not that important.
Criteria
1. Only routines scoring 9.950+ will be included in the poll
2. There must be video available of that routine so that the voters can, you know, watch it.
3. Each gymnast may appear only once per week. The higher score (or my discretion in the event of a tie) is used.
1. Maggie Nichols (Oklahoma) – Vault
2. Pua Hall (UCLA) – Vault
3. Lexi Graber (Alabama) – Vault
4. Sarah Finnegan (LSU) – Bars
5. Myia Hambrick (LSU) – Bars
6. Lexie Priessman (LSU) – Bars
7. Ivy Lu (Minnesota) – Bars
8. Rachel Stypinski (Kent State) – Beam
9. McKinley Pavicic (Utah State) – Beam
10. Katelyn Ohashi (UCLA) – Floor
11. Makenna Merrell-Giles (Utah) – Floor
12. MyKayla Skinner (Utah) – Floor
13. Tiffani Lewis (Utah) – Floor
14. Kennedi Edney (LSU) – Floor
Voted for Ivy Lu! Her technique is perfect and she’s so underrated. She would’ve had multiple 10s by now if she was on a bigger team.
Julia–she really is lovely isn’t she? I could not agree more. HATE NCAA scoring generally, for that among other reasons (crack scores for all ‘big’ teams and Nichols (whom I love love love) having imperfect 10s.. ETC)
Look at how nice that built-in poll is. Oh you fancy now!
Finnegan. Bars. 10.
I think it is interesting that Nichols hasn’t made the top 3 even once despite being on the list every week. Is it because we expect her to be amazing so it isn’t all that surprising when she is?
yeah its interesting how she hasn’t made one top 3 yet…
Maggie is so good all around, but there’s not really one routine that stands out over another. Bars probably shows the most difficulty, but she tends to miss a handstand or step on the dismount and get “only” 9.95. Floor is great, but she only recently started doing full difficulty again.
finnegan’s dismount is not a double layout. it’s terribly piked. poor form in other places too. i love her as a gymnast but this was not an exceptional routine unfortunately.
Peng is layout
Does anyone else not like Lexie’s bars? I think she is too quick, she doesnt hit the positions. Its like she want to be done as quickly as possible.
The B10 network didn’t show this routine (not sure why). but it would have been the one I voted for.

Wow, that was awesome. So sure-footed on every skill!
I voted for Edney. I know she had that hop at the end, but her routine was the best total package. I know I picky, but hopefully no one will kill me.
Love Maggie, but the leg sep on landing,
Hall had the leg’s slightly separated and crossed in flight
Graber was generally nice, just knee bend and slight pike before landing
Finnegan had lots of little stuff that might be taken at non top-10 meets like muscling the toe-on, wobbling in the bail and pike in first dismount salto
Hambrick was really nice, just pike before bail and wobble in bail
Priessman was nice just, pike in the first layout and very little distance on the dismount
Lu’s double layout was a little too archy for me.
Stypinski slipped a little in the landing and landed feet apart.
Pavicic had the slightly short split, slight instability in turn, pike on landing
Ohashi had the pike in the double LO, legs sep in the 1 1/2, maybe slightly short on the switch split 1/2
Merrell-Giles was really nice, just hopped the first landing
Skinner slid back on the Silivas, was short on the Switch split 1 1/2, hopped the double twist, leg sep on full in along with a small hop back, no clue how it got 9.975
Lewis was really nice just hopped the first landing.
I voted for Pavicic because I legit had never heard of this gymnast and that routine was phenomenal!
I see the Finnegan family and friends are once again voting furiously.
It makes me want to pull for Hambrick, Priessman, and Edney even more.
i like Tiffani Lewis, and she’s really great at her tumbling, but holy wow is she the most boring performer to watch. idk if she’s not comfortable with the choreo or something, but i almost fell asleep in between passes.
