LSU did the job of increasing its road scores over the weekend with a 197.950 in the loss against Florida—a score that is now guaranteed to count with just two road meets remaining. LSU competes at home this weekend so won’t be able to get rid of any more of those 197s and will therefore be at the mercy of how Cal performs to determine who is #2 next week.

3. Cal – 197.810

Cal’s program record (notice a trend?) on Sunday of 198.400 moved the team back into striking distance of LSU with the chance to jump into 2nd place by scoring 197.950 or better this weekend against Utah regardless of what LSU scores.

Florida also secured its first 198 of the season as the scores now look much healthier for a potential #1 regional seeding than they did a few weeks ago. Florida could pass Utah this week depending on Utah (as long as Florida goes 197.575 it’s possible, then it’s up to Utah’s score), but will also be looking out for at least a 197.750 to guarantee a top-5 spot regardless of what everyone else does.

Missouri will have to be slightly concerned about Auburn in 14th since Auburn still has a couple 196.6 road scores that can be dropped, but a season high this week would ensure Auburn can’t pass right now.
