Popping in for a quick one today as Cal has a chance to take advantage of some iffier scores among several of the top teams to make a rankings move. No Mya Wiley in preliminary lineups so far.

More giant inconsistencies in scoring so far today comparing the loosey goosey Minnesota/Iowa meet to Stanford getting kind of pinched at Pitt on the early events.

Two boys on the call? Boyyyysss?

“Liz CranDELL”

Rotation 1

Williams – vt – cal – yfull, solid, small hop back, layout shape. 9.825

Lippeatt – ub – clemson – hits first hs – ray to overshoot, hit,. some body pike – giant full, little hesitation to double tuck, hop. 9.700

Mayhew – vt – Cal – solid landing control, small hop forward, bit of knees. 9.875

Berry – ub – clemson – hits hs – toe to maloney to pak, leg separation – short of hs on 1/2 turn on low – dlo, two small hops back. 9.725

Cesario – vt – cal – yfull, her best of the year, good stick, slight pike coming in to land. 9.900

Jackson – ub – clemson – hits hs – blind to high jaeger to overshoot – shorter hs on high – ftdt, hop back. 9.800

Frazier – vt – cal – DTY, bigger bounce back this week, then an extra hop – some loose knees and feet. 9.750

Clark – ub – clemson – tight hs – blind to good piked jaeger to overshoot – shorter hs again – dlo, holds the stick with a lean. 9.875

Lauzon – vt – cal – y1.5, big bound forward for her also for 9.825

Wells – ub – clemson – good hs – giant 1/2 to tkatchev to overshoot – some knees – short hs on high – ftdt, finds stick, a little squat to hold it

Silvers – vt – cal – y1.5, large lunge forward, knees, 9.625

Kuhl – ub – clemson – good hs – Ray, a little close to overshoot, hit – dlo, legs apart, stuck. 9.875

After 1: Cal 49.175, Clemson 49.125

Wiley sticks y1.5 in exhibition. Will wish that had been in the lineup today.

Cal with a strong start on vault but lost the way on landings in the second half. Frazier has never really got the difficulty forgiveness over the years for her DTY that we’ve seen others get, and at a certain point you start to wonder if it is worth it. Clemson basically some final cast handstands on high bar away from a huge number there.

Rotation 2

Brown – vt – clemson – good distance on yfull, small flinch back. 9.800

Lauzon – ub – cal – pak, good – tight hs on low – van leeuwen, small leg break – short hs on high – ftdt, step back. 9.825

Kuhl – vt – clemson – yfull, medium step back and some chest position, 9.775

Frazier – ub – cal – toe on to maloney to mpak, mhit – some back position on 1/2 turn on low, dlo, good stick. 9.900

Walsh – vt – clemson – y1.5, lunge sideward, knees in the air. 9.750

Cesario – ub – cal – blind to high jaeger to oversdhoot – good hs on high – DLO, scoot back, and one judge took only that for 9.925

Minner – vt – clemson – y1.5 tucked, good one, step forward. 9.800

Williams – ub – cal – good hs on high, clean pak – toe on to van leeuwen, legs together – bit tight on hb handstabnd – dlo, hop back. 9.875

Jackson – vt – clemson – y1.5, very large bound forward for 9.625

Brown – ub – cal – small arch on first hs – good psk – toe on to vaqn leeuwen, legs together – short hs – toe pike 1/2, holds the landing. 9.875

Holman – vt – clemson – hs pike 1/2, step back, some chest position but not bad, 9.775

Kane – ub – cal – good hs on high – ray and falls, but they’ll drop it.

After 2: Cal 98.575, Clemson 98.025

Cal opens up the lead there with a solid bars, a couple more sticks away from a massive number. Newman-Achee very realistic routine in exhibition.

Rotation 3

“Justin Howell loves having a job.” Evan with the wisdom.

Cesario – bb – cal – full turn – bhs loso, secure landing – switch to switch 1/2, lower front leg in 1/2 – 1.5, holds stick with lean. 9.800

Lippeatt – fx – clemson – double tuck, bounce back – the belgium elite program is like, this floor is IT – switch side 1/2 to straddle – back 1.5 to full, controls step, some knees. 9.775

Williams – bb – cal – wolf turn – aerial to split, good feet – bhs loso, solid – switch to split, solid – gainer full, some pike, little step back. 9.850

Holman – fx – clemson – front 2/1, slide forward – switch side to popa, around – rudi, almost no punch into loso, pulls something out but low with form, 9.625

Kane – bb – cal – wolf double, solid – side aerial, pause in connection and then falls on the connected side aerial – back tuck, bounce – hits switch side – 1.5 dmt, hop

Minner – fx – clemson – front 2/1, slide, good position – switch n1/2 to shushunova – rudi loso, under control 9.850

Frazier – bb – cal – full turn, smooth – aerial to loso is secure – split to split ring, very strong – 1.5 dmt, short with step back, basically perfect until then, 9.875

Arnold – fx – clemson – ftdt, gets it to her feet, chest down – switch 1/2 to wolf full, good rise – 2.5 to front tuck, high, rebound forward. 9.825

Lauzon – bb – cal – wolf turn – bhs bhs loso, hit – switch, wobble before split jump split jump – 2/1 dmt, good stick. And we have a fun 10/9.7 S V split here. 9.650

Jackson – fx – clemson – open ftdt, bounce back – switch 1/2 to wolf full, good completion of rotation – front tuck through to double tuck, bounce back –

Mayhew – bb – cal – full turn, hesitation – bhs loso with a wobble – switch to switch 1/2, hit, another small adjustment, 1.5 dismount with hop. 9.700

Clark – fx – clemson – dlo, hit, chest up, bounce back – huge split leap full to popa – front lay front full front tuck, good. 9.900\

After 3: Cal 147.450, Clemson 147.200

A shaky beam for Cal means this one won’t be a keeper. This lineup still needs some Achamponging. And maybe some Scanloning because that was a strong exhibition from her as well.

Jordan Kane was going through it after that beam routine, and now she’ll be replaced by Keuneke on floor.

Rotation 4

Lippeatt – bb – clemson – aerial, small lean into korbut – split leap to quick straddle 1/2 – side aerial to beat, hit – check on choreo – front gainer full, holds it on her heels. 9.750

Mayhew – fx – cal – front 2/1 to front pike, slight back foot adjustment – switch ring to switch 1/2, solid – 1.5 to 1/2 to double stag, solid, 9.875

Clark – bb – clemson – standing front tuck, little waver on landing – bhs loso, check – full turn – switch to straddle 1/4, good – rudi, excellent stick. 9.800

Williams – fx – cal – front lay to rudio,. chest up -nice switch 1/2 and split jump- 1.5 to layout, clean. 9.900

Nielsen – bb – clemson – full turn – cat leap to switch – bhys bhs loso, secure – cat leap side aerial – just a couple small leans – 1.5, hop. 9.800

Keuneke – fx – cal – front 2/1 to front pike, stuck landing, some direction but brought it back with the pike – good leap rotation completion – 1.5 to 1/2 to straddle, slight travel. 9.900

Church – bb – clemson – bhs loso, way off line and falls –

Cesario – fx – cal – ftdt, chest down with step forward – switch to switch ring 1/2 – back 1.5 to layout, no trouble with the rebound this week. 9.850

McCright – bb – clemson – smooth full turn – bhs loso, hits it, lean to control – beat to tuck jum,p full, around, another small squeeze lean to hold it – side aerial to split, hit – gainer full, stuck. 9.850

Frazier – fx – cal – front tuck to double tuck, small rebound – switch to ring full to sissone, comfortable – back 1.5 to front full, a bit underrotated on the full. 9.900.

Cal will regret that beam didn’t come through because this floor would have turned it into a big total.

Kuhl – bb – clemson – bhs bhs loso, very smooth – switch, a little tight into jump 3/4, more tentative there – 1.5 tucked, jump forward. 9.825

Lauzon – fx – cal – front 2/1 to front tuck, back on her heels, leans to hold control – switch ring to switch 1/2 – 1.5 to front full, controlled step. 9.900

FINAL: Cal 196.925. Clemson 196.225
