Bold scores must be included as part of the six and can no longer be dropped.

1. Oklahoma – 197.915

Road score 1198.050
Road score 2197.950
Road score 3197.925
Home/road score 1198.075
Home/road score 2197.825
Home/road score 3197.825
NQS:197.915

While Oklahoma did not hit the 198 mark over the weekend (gasp! must buy more chandeliers!) the #1 ranking is secure for at least another week as LSU cannot reach 197.915 with any score in week 10.

2. LSU – 197.710

Road score 1198.125
Road score 2197.650
Road score 3197.300
Home/road score 1198.050
Home/road score 2198.000
Home/road score 3197.550
NQS:197.710

LSU undertook the arduous trek to down the street this week to get a road 198 and establish some major distance in the race for the #2 ranking, The only team that could catch LSU this coming weekend is Florida, a situation LSU can guarantee averting by scoring 197.925 or higher at home against Georgia.

3. UCLA – 197.525

Road score 1197.950
Road score 2197.550
Road score 3197.550
Home/road score 1197.675
Home/road score 2197.550
Home/road score 3197.300
NQS:197.525

UCLA’s new conference experience turned less fun this week as it got caught in the “actually how about not”-themed Big Four meets for a non-counting score of 197.200. With a lower maximum NQS after week 10 than either Utah or Florida, UCLA will have to wait and see if this #3 ranking can hold up.

4. Florida – 197.480

Road score 1197.575
Road score 2197.450
Road score 3196.625
Home/road score 1198.125
Home/road score 2198.125
Home/road score 3197.625
NQS:197.480

Florida was able to drop a 196 this week to gain two spots in the rankings, and a road meet this coming Friday presents the opportunity to do the same again. Keep an eye on the 197.675 mark, which would mean Florida stays ahead of Utah and moves ahead of UCLA. To have any shot at passing LSU, Florida is looking at a 197.800 and some help.

5. Utah – 197.465

Road score 1197.950
Road score 2197.425
Road score 3196.975
Home/road score 1198.075
Home/road score 2197.675
Home/road score 3197.300
NQS:197.465

Utah mostly withstood an idle week, losing only one position in the rankings. Another huge number this coming weekend would provide a chance to get ahead of UCLA, with a 197.950 guaranteeing it.

6. Cal – 197.345

Road score 1197.675
Road score 2197.275
Road score 3197.175
Home/road score 1197.775
Home/road score 2197.550
Home/road score 3197.050
NQS:197.345

It’s mathematically possible for Cal to catch Utah and Florida this week, but it would require a fair amount of help from those teams having a miss, so the main focus will be on retaining this #6 ranking. That shouldn’t be a burdensome task, requiring only 197.150.

7. Missouri – 197.230

Road score 1197.725
Road score 2197.200
Road score 3197.175
Home/road score 1197.425
Home/road score 2197.200
Home/road score 3197.150
NQS:197.230

Missouri picked up a spot this week after the 2nd-highest score in school history, though with just the slightest advantage over Michigan State right now, we could see these two continue swapping spots.

8. Michigan State – 197.220

Road score 1197.200
Road score 2197.150
Road score 3196.800
Home/road score 1197.500
Home/road score 2197.475
Home/road score 3197,475
NQS:197.220

Michigan State has the slightly higher peak NQS than Missouri this week so will look for a season high as a chance to regain #7 and elevate (see, they’re competing at Elevate the Stage and I did a thing…) those road scores that currently lag behind the teams ranked higher.

9. Kentucky – 197.085

Road score 1197.225
Road score 2197.150
Road score 3196.800
Home/road score 1197.300
Home/road score 2197.175
Home/road score 3197.075
NQS:197.085

Despite the loss, Kentucky was able to leapfrog Georgia in the rankings thanks to the expulsion of a mid-196 road score. Since Kentucky’s scores are all pretty closely bunched, there’s no chance to move any higher than 9th after this week.

10. Georgia – 197.065

Road score 1197.350
Road score 2197.200
Road score 3196.825
Home/road score 1197.200
Home/road score 2197.125
Home/road score 3196.975
NQS:197.065

In the race against Kentucky (a thing?) the advantage switches to Georgia this week as Georgia competes away at LSU with a chance to drop that 196. A 197.175 or higher is the goal to ensure moving back ahead of Kentucky, though there would still be some vulnerability to other teams.

11. Oregon State – 197.010

Road score 1196.975
Road score 2196.950
Road score 3196.625
Home/road score 1197.600
Home/road score 2197.325
Home/road score 3197.175
NQS:197.010

Even with a Jade-less mid-196, Oregon State was able to gain a spot on the rankings and will enjoy another opportunity to do so at this coming weekend’s road finale. Oregon State’s peak NQS is higher than that of Kentucky or Georgia this week, but they’re looking at needing 197.450 to guarantee moving ahead (though just a 196.900 to make it possible).

12. Stanford – 197.000

Road score 1197.400
Road score 2196.925
Road score 3196.775
Home/road score 1197.250
Home/road score 2197.025
Home/road score 3197.025
NQS:197.000

13. Auburn – 196.965

Road score 1197.750
Road score 2196.825
Road score 3196.775
Home/road score 1197.300
Home/road score 2197.025
Home/road score 3196.900
NQS:196.965

14. Alabama – 196.940

Road score 1197.650
Road score 2196.675
Road score 3196.575
Home/road score 1197.350
Home/road score 2197.075
Home/road score 3197.025
NQS:196.940

This weekend marked a turning point in the fight to make it to the SEC Championship as Alabama established a not-insignificant lead over Arkansas—and competes twice this coming weekend, providing double the chance to get rid of some more low numbers. That means Alabama has a shot at not just challenging Auburn this week, but Kentucky and Georgia as well.

15. Minnesota – 196.930

Road score 1197.375
Road score 2197.325
Road score 3196.800
Home/road score 1197.075
Home/road score 2196.825
Home/road score 3196.625
NQS:196.930

16. Arkansas – 196.775

Road score 1197.050
Road score 2196.400
Road score 3196.250
Home/road score 1197.425
Home/road score 2197.175
Home/road score 3197.000
NQS:196.775

Arkansas is certainly in a hole in the fight to make SECs but all is not lost yet. With a maximum NQS this week of 197.010 given a season high away at Kentucky, Arkansas could move ahead of Auburn if Auburn has a bad one, or Alabama if Alabama has two bad ones.

The top 16 teams are seeded at the four regional sites, which would divide like this right now.

–[1] Oklahoma, [8] Michigan State, [9] Kentucky, [16] Arkansas
–[2] LSU, [7] Missouri, [10] Georgia, [15] Minnesota
–[3] UCLA, [6] Cal, [11] Oregon State, [14] Alabama
–[4] Florida, [5] Utah, [12] Stanford, [13] Auburn

17. Michigan – 196.770

Road score 1196.975
Road score 2196.900
Road score 3196.525
Home/road score 1197.100
Home/road score 2196.850
Home/road score 3196.600
NQS:196.770

Michigan got real-beam-judging-ed right into a non-counting score of 196.300 this week and a ranking outside the top 16, meaning right now Michigan would be a deeply dangerous unseeded team at the Penn State regional.

18. Denver – 196.680

Road score 1197.525
Road score 2196.750

Home/road score 1197.125
Home/road score 2196.625
Home/road score 3196.575

Ditto Denver, right now in position to crash a seeded team’s party at the Utah regional.
