do perfect 9.95s on vaults count for this? Because if so add Khazia Hislop 🙂
and Sierra Alexander from florida!
LOL at the one judge giving a 10 for Cammy Hall’s vault. I mean, nice stick. But: form on pre-flight, scrappy form in post-flight, and zero amplitude. 9.8 realistically.
Good God, I thought she was about to sit it.
I wish they’d stop giving so much credit to vaults that are obviously short but stuck. Nichols does this a lot, even her 10 here, which is pretty good, looks like she is barely getting her twist finished before she lands.
It’s not a good vault if it looks like the landing is a surprise to the vaulter…
FYI to anyone planning to attend the Big Ten championship — the Gov. of Ohio has called for no spectators at indoor events in the state. Ohio State has already moved to online classes for the next month (similar to several other universities). There has been no official statement from Ohio State yet regarding the gymnastics championships. They may go against the governor’s statement, but fans might want to follow this one closely if they plan to attend.
