In the first batch of meets today, we have Stanford’s visit to Utah and Missouri’s visit to Kentucky. In the past week, both Michigan and Florida have reached the 198 mark, so we’re already at the point in the season where that’s going to become the expectation for a good meet for the top teams (i.e., that’s what Utah will now be measured against).
Kentucky and Missouri should be a compelling battle of equals, the rare meet where, you know, the actual win-loss result might be interesting or something. Plus, with Auburn already raking in the 197s this season, we’re seeing both Kentucky and Missouri at risk of being left in the bottom half of the conference if the scores don’t start soaring.
Later, I’ll take a look at Oregon State and Cal, which should also be legitimately up for grabs as Oregon State has returned to the realm of competitiveness with last week’s 197.
All streaming and scores on the links page.
Kentucky and Missouri underway first.
Procasky – VT – Kentucky – very strong stick on her Yfull, just a little pike. 9.875.
Marshall – UB – Missouri – a little short on first hs – rolls through blind change, catches close on jaeger, into overshoot, some leg separation, better cast hs on high – FTDT, very high, jarred landing with a step back.
Wilson – VT – kentucky – handspring pike 1/2, medium slide back, pretty solid chest up, the other hs pike 1/2s in the lineup will be a bit bigger. 9.850
Long wait for first Missouri bars score. I had 9.700 FWIW. And it’s in and went 9.825. Gonna be another great day.
Schreiber – UB – Missouri – arch in first hs, pulls it back – maloney to bail, some legs in maloney, together on bail – good final cast hs – DLO, bounce back, leg separation. 9.800
Magnelli – VT – Kentucky – a bit larger on the bounce back from her on her hs pike 1/2, chest somewhat down. 9.775
Utah and Stanford underway now.
Utah starts with Hoffman on vault, good distance on Yfull, bounce back.
Patrick – UB – Missouri – good first hs – blind to jaeger, rolls through blind, hit jaeger – bail, a little bit of hip angle – shorter on final cast hs – DLO is solid, stuck.
Stanford has stuck DLO from Waguespack to start bars. 9.875. Well now.
Nixon – VT – Kentucky – Yfull gorgeous position, little hop. 9.850
O’Keefe Yfull for Utah, more pike than Hoffman, lunge back
Moore – UB – Missouri – small arch in first hs – giant full, a lit late into tkatchev to overshoot, good amplitude, some form on catch – better final cast – FTDT, small slide back. 9.850
Patterson – VT – kentucky – best hs pike 1/2 of the three today, slide back, good direction, chest pretty well up. 9.900
Second bars stick from Stanford, Brunette hitting her DLO.
Stanhope with two large lunges forward on her Y1.5 for Utah
Sheremeta – Ub – Missouri – blind to jaeger to overshoot, pretty releases there – perahps a bit short on final cast hs and some short verticals in here overall, but great stick on rudi. They’ve been soft on handstands so far today, so I think that will score well. 9.825. Hmm, closer to what I had.
Worley – VT – kentucky – solid Y1.5 – small hop forward as she rises onto her toes, a bit of knees. 9.925
Rucker sits down her Y1.5 for Utah, so they’ll have to count Stanhope, who got away with 9.725 on that.
Alexeeva on bars for Stanford really struggles on handstands but does get through a hit routine this time. Large deductions though.
Celestine – UB – Missouri – toe on to maloney, form to pak, loses her leg position significantly on pak – van leeuwen was pretty in the air but can’t catch.
Burch gets Utah back on track on vault with a solid Y1.5, hop forward.
Bryant – UB – Stanford – toe on to tkatchev, not the highest but solid – pak, smooth, can see a small leg break from this angle – not her best cast hs day – DLO is nice, hop back. 9.825
McCallum – VT – Utah – tries for the stick on her Servente but ended up being a little short, stagger with leg up.
Gutierrez – UB – Stanford – shortish first hs – toe 1/2 to jaeger, pretty feet – bail, hits vertical, leg break in the air – short on several handstands – double front 1/2 out, pulls it around but deep landing with step back.
Utah not a strong vault rotation there and will feel pleased to get out of it with 49.125, having to count a very uncontrolled landing and a couple other errors. No Cammy Hall this week after the faint last week.
That means Utah has only a one tenth lead on Stanford after the first rotation, which Stanford will celebrate. 49.125 to 49.025.
Kentucky 49.400, Missouri 49.150
Kentucky looked pretty comfortable on its 10.0 starts overall and have staked a lead after 1 rotation here. Missouri getting there, good releases in general, handstands not at postseason level.
Rotation 2
Schaffer – VT – Missouri – hits a yfull, only a little hop in place, some pike, chest forward. 9.775
Davis – UB – Kentucky – giant full, a bit late into blind to jaeger, fine, – bail, has toe point, slightly loose back – rushes final cast – DLO, stuck. 9.875
Marshall – VT – Missouri – lands short on her yfull, hop, chest forward. 9.675
DeGuzman – UB – Kentucky – blind to pretty jaeger to overshoot, just a little pike in overshoot – DLO, legs, nearly shows stick, step-salute. Good work. 9.825
Schrieber with a good yfull for Missouri, small hop back. 9.825
Morgan leads off bars for Utah – pretty solid bhardwaj, good attention to 1/2 turn position on low – giant full, a bit late into double tuck, hop.
Nixon – UB – Kentucky – maloney to bail, a little short of vertical – good cast hs on high – FTDT, sticks with a stagger.
Celestine – VT – Missouri – Y1.5 – excellent, leg form is pretty, step forward
Burch – Ub – Utah – hits jaeger, some feet – bail, large leg separation and huge arch, does well to pull it back – DLO, chest forward, hop. They keep her up at 9.775.
Angeny – Ub – kentucky – jaeger to overshoot, hit, a bit of feet in jaeger – short final cast hs – DLO, nice stick. 9.850
Gutierrez pulls out a tucked Y1.5 for Stanford on vault.
Moore – VT – Missouri – amazing amplitude on Y1.5 – hop forward. Well done. 9.875
Thompson pulls out a cleaner bars routine for Utah.
Bunn – UB – Kentucky – jaehger, not the highest but fine – bail, clean – solid cast hs on high – nearly sticks, step back.
Davis – VT – Missouri – large lunge forward on her y1.5, good form in the air
McCallum – UB – Utah – maloney to pak, solid leg positions – van leeuwen, hit – short on her cast hs positions a couple times in here – FTDT, bounce back.
Worley – UB – Kentucky – clear hip to tkatchev, hit, not the highest but fine – clean pak – 1/2 turn on low, good finish position – hits vertical on final cast, some back arch – FTDT, holds landing. 9.950
Isa – UB – Utah – Ray, hit, some elbows on catch – bail, just a tad crooked on catch, good toe point – giant full, pretty solid finish position to immediate DLO, holds landing. 9.950 is high there for me.
Looks like no sixth vaulter for Stanford, so 48.875 there.
O’Keefe – UB – Utah – maloney to pak, smallest leg separation – small back tension loss on 1/2 turn on low – a bit late on final cast – doubel arabian, huge, step forward. Not her very best but fine. Still goes 9.900.
Utah pulls out 49.400 on bars to sit on 98.525 after two events to Stanford on 97.900.
After 2: Kentucky 98.825, Missouri 98.200
Both on usable scoring pace but Missouri will need to pick it up to get back to the higher 196s, while Kentucky is well on track for a big 197. The pace right now is 197.650 and the team record is 197.600.
Rotation 3
Kentucky meet in that alternate prison venue instead of that arena. Different angle of beam we don’t usually see.
Luksik – BB – Kentucky – Onodi alert! Hit – bhs loso series, solid amplitude, good work – cat leap to switch 1/2, well short of split – gainer pike, stuck. 9.875
Schreiber – FX – Missouri – rudi to back layout two feet to front tuck, like the originality of the pass, the back layout is under to punch into the tuck – front full to front loso – switch 1/2 to split full, good leaps. 9.850
Bunn – BB – Kentucky – bhs loso loso, lean correction with arms, pulls it back – switch to split with a little check – 2/1, little hop. 9.850
Morgan – BB – Utah – does a bhs loso series on the beam this week – some back leg in dance elements – cat leap to side aerial to full, stuck. 9.900 here we go. Give O’Keefe a 40?
Kratzer – FX – Missouri – round off double tuck, chest up, only a little movement – switch side to popa, good lift 1.5 to layout, out of control on landin g with a lunge – double pike, chest down, hit
Randall – BB – Utah – bhs loso and a wobble, leg up a little, larger arm wave – another small correction on sheep jump, fighting it some today – rulfova is strong – 1.5, stuck. Still 9.850
Sheremeta – FX – Missouri – front 2/1, a bit slidey – switch side to popa, looks like she got those 180s – rudi to loso, solid – 1.5 to front layout stepout running out of it, you really do want to see control shown in the landing to separate the pass from just walking on the floor.
McCallum – BB – Utah – hits candle and wolf – side aerial loso, hit, small shiver correction, feet – switch to stag, good – side aerial to full, holds stick well, but chest a bit forward. I don’t see 9.950 here.
Procasky has a fall for Kentucky on BB
Burns – FX – Missouri – whip double tuck, controls front foot, nice chest position – attempts a wolf jump situation, well short of position, went around about 1.25 – front full to front tuck, assume intended layout and had to tuck to get it around –
Worley – BB – Kentucky – cat leap to switch side, hit – aerial to bhs loso, VERY pretty – 1.5, hop forward.
Paulson – BB – Utah – side aerial to loso, one of her better ones – struggles on full turn, wobble – switch to split – beat to side aerial to full, stuck, little pike. 9.950.
So O’Keefe should only need to cough for a 10.
Moore – FX – Missouri – lovely DLO in the air, stuck landing, chest forward – switch 1/2 to popa popa, good rise into those popas – front tuck through to double tuck, stuck. Really good routine.
Isa – BB – Utah – candle mount, solid – bhs loso loso, no trouble – arm correction on choreogprahy – good straddle 1/4 – gainer full, hit. 9.925
Angeny has a large break on her series for kentucky with a fall already in the rotation but keeps it on –
Celestine – FX – Missouri – full in, controls step, chest up – split leap full to split jump full, great lift on first split – 1.5 to layout, hit – double tuck, very nice, legs together, controls landing. Good.
Angeny still gets 9.775 on beam for Kentucky to go 49.275.
O’Keefe – BB – Utah – side aerial to loso, hit – switch to split leap – full turn, smooth – cat leap to side aerial to full, stuck.
Well, the 9.950s have been for everytone in this rotation for routines with obvious errors, and that didn’t have any, so I don’t see how that couldn’t be a 10.
It is. 10.000.
49.725 for Utah on beam, .050 shy of the program record. I had 49.450.
Bryant – FX – Stanford – full in, chest up, does well to control the front leg, though the step back was large – front tuck through to double pike, large bounce back and OOB – switch side to popa – double tuck, similar landing to full in.
Kentucky and Missouri both went 49.275 in their third rotations to bring us to Kentucky 148.100, Missouri 147.475 after 3 events. Utah 148.250 to Stanford 147.050.
Rotation 4
Marshall – BB – Missouri – good aerial – kickover to bhs, solid rhythm in connection – split to split 1/4, some foot flexing – gainer full, hop. Good. 9.800
Bunn – FX – Kentucky – double pike, very secure landing – switch 1/2 to wolf 1.5 – back leg on switch – 1.5 to front tuck, a little jarring, controls her step forward – rudi, nice work. 9.825
McCrary – BB – Missouri – kickover, solid – bhs loso, large correction afterward, bend at the hips – beat to stag ring, secure – wobble on split 1/2 from side, lean back – 1.5 tucked dismount, large bound forward. 9.625
LaClair – FX – kentucky – she exists – double pike, good form, little bounce – swtich side to popa to wolf full, good amplitude, slightly overturned the first element – front lay to front full, slide forward, a bit of knees – rudi, bounces the twist around – good option. 9.750
Schaffer – BB – Missouri – hesitant on full turn – bhs bhs loso, good amplitude – aerial, a bit short, leans to the aide, arm wave – swtich to split, hit – 1.5, holds landing, small foot adjustment
Let’s find a way to get Kaitlin DeGuzman rewarded for her twisting position and leaps being superior to everyone else here. If only there were a way…
Utah and Stanford beginning final rotation
Onyshko – BB – Stanford – bhs loso series, hit – switch ring to beat, not a lot of ring closure but fine for NCAA – aerial to split jump, hit – gainer pike, already learned the college salute with a jump salute, but should be a tenth.
Sheremeta – BB – Missouri – beat – bhs loso, lovely extension – split to stag ring – aerial, clean – gainer tuck full, stuck. Really good.
Hoffman – FX – Utah – DLO, front foot rises on landing – 1.5 to layout, crisp pass – 9.900
Magnelli – FX – Kentucky – punch rudi to loso, great amplitude, some leg crossing in twist – major oversplit on straddles – double pike, solid –
Scheiber – BB – Missouri – solid bhs loso loso series – switch 1/2 to split, one of the better switch 1/2s, right to gainer full, stuck. Good. 9.900
Davis – FX – Kentucky – double pike, controls front foot – high switch side to popa, good – 1.5 to layout, opens easily and early on 1.5 – double tuck, excellent. 9.900
Nice leap amplitude from Stephenson on beam for Stanford.
Hu – BB – Missouri – aerial to bhs, smooth – aerial to scale, smoothly connected, seamless – beat to split jump 3/4 – most awkward part of her routine was that back shoulder choreography, hand slipped but covered – gainer full, nearly stuck, small step. 9.900
Rucker with a lunge back OOB on her full in on FX for Utah.
Worley – FX – Kentucky – full in, chest up, keeps front foot down – swtich ring to switch side, nice – sticks front full to layout, a little bit of knees in front full – double tuck, solid.
Worley goes 9.975, which is in keeping with this meet, to hit 39.750 in the AA and take Kentucky to 197.450, their #5 score ever. Missouri goes 196.875, also very usable for them.
McCallum – FX – Utah – full in, good control, leaps look comfortable – front lay to rudi, hit – that’s the best floor she’s done for Utah so far. 9.950
Tan – BB – Stanford – side aerial, hit – bhs lay-pike gets low, leg up wobble, pulls it back – switch, arm wave correction into split jump, another check – switch 1/2 to split, another arm wave – gainer pike, sticks. Fighting it, stayed on.
O’Keefe – FX – Utah – double pike, well short, chest down, bounce forward – switch to split leap 1.5, comes up about .25 short of rotation – wolf double, smooth – 1.5 to front full, a little short, feet start to slip, holds on. Not sure what planet 9.825 comes from for that.
Bryant – BB – Stanford – bhs loso, large break, foot rises up to horizontal, turn to the side – beat to switch split jump, great – front tuck, another leg-up check – double tuck dismount, excellent in the air, lunge back
Soloski – FX – Utah – DLO, chest forward a bit, step forward – switch 1/2 to split leap full, a little short on switch 1/2, good full – front lay to just a lay 1/2 instead of the full, got awkward and had to abort the pass there, hop – 1.5 to layout, hit, small foot movement. 9.875 still.
Not sure how Utah escaped that floor rotation with 49.425, but…
FINAL: Utah 197.675, Stanford 196.000
Both teams will take the score, but Utah won’t take the performance. Not a strong showing on vault or floor. Beam obviously the best of the meet for them, but they even gave some things away there.
Break time until Oregon State and Cal.
Oregon State is going with Carey and Dagen in the all-around today.
Cal has Li, DeSouza, Bordas, and Lauzon all in the AA. Also Watterson is back from bereavement leave and in the beam lineup. Clausi is in the final position on vault, which signals that she could do the 1.5 today if they like the other scores.
How much do we all have to chip in to get Cal some real live scores one of these days?
Beeman back in the bars lineup today for Oregon State instead of Domingo.
Rotation 1
Cal VT 1 – Schank – “Shawschank Pronunciation Redemption,” Evan already bringing it, how long were we working on that – very clean yfull, open shape, slide back. 9.825
Oregon State UB 1 – Yamaoka – good first hs – toe on to maloney, legs together – short hs on high – bail – giant full, short, double tuck, hop forward. Mostly handstand things. 9.725
Cal VT 2 – Bordas – strong landing on her yfull, looks like a small rebound in place, a bit more dynamic than Schank. 9.825
Oregon State UB 2 – Beeman – blind to jaeger, good amplitude – short cast to pak, legs apart – 1/2 turn on low – better final cast hs – stalder, little hesitation into double tuck, bounce back. 9.750
Cal VT 3 – we did not get to see Li’s vault, so that’s fun. Replay – only a small bounce back on yfull. 9.850
That is a large bear head.
Oregon State Ub 3 – Dagen – hits tkatchev – rushes following cast – bail, looked a like angled in hips – high bar toe on to giant full to double tuck, that’s a hit with full difficulty for her. 9.775
Cal VT 4 – DeSouza – solid Y1.5 – not a large hop forward – the usual leg separation on the block. 9.850
Oregon State UB 4 – Bird – bail is solid – stalder, back to high bar – tkatchev, good height, perhaps a little close – FTDT, hop forward. 9.850
Cal VT 5 – Lauzon – struggles on her Y1.5, comes up short, multiple lunges back. 9.525
Oregon State UB 5 – Jakubczyk – blind, small leg break to yezhova, bit of legs – maloney to gienger, hit – hitting cast hs it would seem – 1/2 in front out dismount, stuck. Much better. Some leg form on a lot of elements. 9.875
Cal VT 6- Clausi – they have her do just the full, didn’t want to count Lauzon’s score – very solid landing – holds the landing on her toes but chest down. 9.825
Oregon State UB 6 – Carey – maloney to bhardwaj, clean – van leeuwen, hit – FTDT, only the smallest rebound in place. Can’t really tell on handstands from this angle, Evan says there was a shortness issue on one. 9.950 again.
Cal goes 49.175. The fulls looked pretty good, but they’re going to need the Lauzon vault and the Clausi 1.5 as they go forward.
Oregon State 49.200 for a slight lead on their weakest event.
Rotation 2
I enjoy the graphic that said Oregon State already had a 196 to Cal’s 96.
Evan plugging his twitter which he uses two times per year.
Oregon State VT 1 – Chavez – hit yfull, larger bounce back, some pike. 9.675
Cal – UB 1 – DeSouza – good piked jaeger to overshoot – solid cast hs on high – FTDT, bounce back. 9.875 is a high start.
Oregon State VT 2 – Gonzales – round off full on back pike, small movement . 9.800
Cal UB 2 – Schank – blind to piked jaeger to overshoot, clean – good final hs on high bar – DLO, stuck 9.925
Oregon State VT 3 – Letzsch – yfull, medium hop back, slight pike, solid. 9.800
Cal Ub 3 – Li – clean pak – good cast on low bar – toe on to van leeuwens, small ankle separation – arch in final cast hs, pulls it back, not large – giant full to double tuck, stuck. 9.875
Oregon State VT 4 – Yanish – good landing control on Yfull, only small hop back. 9.875
Cal UB 4 – Williams – maloney to pak, keeps feet together – 1/2 turn on low, borderline – strong final cast hs – DLO, stuck landing. Another good one. 9.925
Oregon State VT 5 – Dagen – good work on her Y1.5 today, holds the landing, little control lean, some knees. 9.925
Cal UB 5 – Bordas – good first hs – blind to jaeger to overshoot, usual height – strong cast hs on high – giant full to double tuck, holds the stick. 9.875
Oregon State VT 6 – Carey – very strong DTY of course, small bounce back. This time she goes 9.950. If the slide back is small enough, they can say it’s .050. Probably some form forgiveness since difficulty.
Cal UB 6 – Lauzon – short first hs – maloney, legs into pak, clean – 1/2 turn on low bar, short of hs – small arch in hs on high bar – FTDT, finds the stick but deep
Cal goes 49.475 on bars to Oregon State on 49.350 on vault to take the lead after two. Much better second rotations from both teams.
Green shows a good hit in the exhibition position, could come in for Lauzon. Although when Watterson is ready, she’ll be in there.
Perea also in exhibition on bars. Really close to lineup as well, but short on her DLO dismount.
After 2: Cal 98.650, Oregon State 98.550
Rotation 3
Cal BB 1 – DeSouza – cat leap to aerial, smoothly done – bhs loso, lean, arm wave correction – beat to sheep, more secure – sissone – 1.5 dismount, step-salute as she rises onto her toes. 9.775
Oregon State FX 1 – Gonzales – front full to layout, clean – switch 1/2 to sissone, swings her leg around the side a little – double pike, chest down, step forward – switch ring to switch 1/2, a little flat footed there. 9.775
Cal BB 2 – Clausi – kickover to beat, solid – bhs loso series, on – switch to switch, works through quickly – side aerial to tuck full, little movement. One of her better beams in a while. 9.900
Oregon State FX 2 – Bird – front lay to rudi to straddle jump, good control on jump, some form on front lay – switch 1/2 to popa, good positions – 2.5, crossed legs, step to the side. 9.775
Cal BB 3 – Li – aerial, keeps arms moving into split jump – bhs loso series, nice extended legs on both elements – slight hesitation on full turn – beat to sheep, secure, some closed hip position – gainer tuck full, stuck. Another solid one. 9.875
Oregon State FX 3 – Letzsch – 1.5 to front full, good control, just a bit of knees – switch ring 1/2 to 1/2 sissone, a bit out of control – double pike, chest up, bit of bounce back. 9.850
Cal BB 4 – Bordas – aerial is a problem, check before split jump, another check – bhs loso series is hit – switch to split, good positions – bhs gainer full, slide back. Those checks at the beginning broke a critical connection though. 9.750, I thought it would be lower.
Oregon State FX 4 – Dagen – front 2/1, looks like she just got it around this time, but a step – nice leap positions – front lay to front full is comfortable – double pike, solid landing. Good one. 9.875
Cal BB 5 – Lauzon – switch to split is good – bhs bhs loso is right on, legs extended well – aerial, solid – side aerial to full, can’t hold landing, step back into salute. 9.825
Oregon State FX 5 – Yanish – DLO, big, but out of control on landing, slide and extra step back in addition – 1.5 to layout, fine, a little low – switch side popa – double tuck very solid. 9.775
Cal BB 6 – Watterson – wolf double, hit – bhs loso series, very secure – switch to split leap, hit, arm wave on landing split – cat leap to side aerial to full, bounce back. One of her most confident beams actually. 9.925
Oregon State FX 6 – Carey – double double tuck, chest up – 1.5 to layout to sissone in the middle of the floor – switch 1/2 to popa, solid position in popa – double tuck, easy peasy, couldn’t really tell if she bounced based on the camera angle. 9.950
Cal goes 49.300 on beam and Oregon State goes 49.225 on floor.
After 3: Cal 147.950, Oregon State 147.775
Cal on track for a useful 197 here, which Oregon State could also do but they’ll have to be solid on beam.
Williams hit an exhibition beam for Cal for 9.875, but Perea falls in her exhibition.
Rotation 4
I feel like the touch warmup for this rotation has been 91 minutes. Did I fall into a wormhole and miss rotation 4 and the earth? Yessss?
Anyway, apparently my stream started over from the beginning and I didn’t notice, which I’m really happy about. I’m great at things.
Letzsch lands well short on her side aerial to full dismount, was it a fall? Not a fall but a large deduction. 9.525.
Cal FX 2 – Bordas – double tuck, clean, chest a little forward, holds it to present – 1.5 to layout, slide forward – switch to switch ring 1/2, little bouncy – rudi, controlled step. Solid. 9.800
Oregon State BB 3 – Domingo – aerail to back pike combination, and pretty fast for this kind of combo – swtich to split to straddle 3/4, great elements, but slow in connection between all – gainer full, stuck. Really good one. 9.900
Cal FX 3 – Clausi – double pike, solid – “vibey kasbah” – switch side to wolf full, clear finishing positions – 1.5 to layout to double stag, good, not the highest but solid – double tuck, solid, chest just a little forward. 9.925, she’s having a day.
Oregon State BB 4 – Gonzales – aerial to back tuck as her series, secure – switch 1/2, leg-up check – switch to split, a tad short of 180 – bounce back on tuck full dismount 9.650 and will have to count.
Cal FX 4 – Lauzon – front 2/1 to front tuck, good twisting shape – switch side to popa, a bit short of final finishing position, good in-air positions – 1.5 through to 2/1, leg crossing there, solid landing. That’s her floor arriving. 9.900
Oregon State BB 5 – Dagen – and she falls on loso series – switch to switch 1/2 to beat jump is nicely done – side aerial to full, of course the rest was great. 9.300
But not a rotation score Carey can save now.
Cal FX 5 – Li – front 2/1 to front tuck, good – COVID themed routine? – front full to layout, under control on landing, a touch of knees – switch 1/2 to wolf full, clean positions. Pretty work. 9.925
Oregon State BB 6 – Carey – aerial, hit, kept arms moving on bhs loso series – swtich to switch 1/2, small pause before beat, a bit short on switch 1/2 – gainer full, little hop. Jade’s like, “well, I hopped on a gainer full, which is harder than a double double”
Cal FX 6 – Schank – double tuck, good landing – double pike, chest down there, more jarring on landing – switch side 1/2 to popa and popaish?, indistinct finishing positions – 1.5 to layout, controls landing, a bit of knees.
Scores collapsed while waiting for the last one? FUNNNN.
Anyway, Carey’s score should get Oregon State up to the higher-mid 196s.
Carey goes 9.925, taking the team score to 196.575. Lower than last week because of that beam score, but a fine road score.
Cal ends up on 197.350, a solid season high for them. Grace Quinn is exhibition pulls out her final pass a little short but the rest was solid. Looking ready to get back in the lineup.
Camera work at UK meet making me nauseated.
