Very interested to see where this one falls on the spectrum of “we’re terrified of the SCORE board” and “wheee hooray time!” that we’ve seen this weekend. Because the 9.6s for hits that we saw at the Pacific Coast meet yesterday did…not go over great.
Rotation 1

After 2: Denver 98.475, Michigan 97.250
Pretty bars rotation for Denver, scores too bunched, best ones not rewarded. Michigan…what are we doing?
Bev interview. Bev, we all thought you would retire after winning nationals. Based on those two rotations, do you currently regret that decision?

ranger – fx – um – dlo slide back – switch 1/2 to popa – nice double tuck, covers with a hop to present
And what a rotation it was, which Michigan wins with a 48.625
After 3: Denver 146.450, Michigan 145.875

So not really one for the highlight reels. Denver through with the win but the scores were there for them to get a high ranking this week with a hit. Some alarm bells for Michigan.

I SO want to hear your commentary on the Cal/UCLA?Ore meet scoring…. It seemed terribly low, but the camera angles of the livestreams could have been off…
I didn’t get to watch, but Spencer’s comment above about 9.6 for hits seems crazy. I was surprised at Jordan’s floor score.
These bar routines are not being consistently evaluated between Michigan and Denver.
Sorry, what does “um” mean in Spencer’s comments above, e.g., “diaz – vt -um”? Thanks!
um = UM = University of Michigan 🙂
Duh! LOL! Sorry.
University of Michigan
It took me a minute. I was thinking, “Why does he keep saying ‘um’?” 🙂
Exactly. If it had been all caps I think I’d have gotten it. (Not a slam on Spencer!)
I love Toxic, but I don’t feel like Kayli’s dance goes w/ the music.
Michigan looks very… body positive.
I think the words you’re looking for are “healthy,” “muscular,” and “powerful.” You’re welcome.
No. I was looking for “body positive”.
Don’t feed the troll
Don’t even try to project your own self-hatred and ugliness onto healthy, strong, fit gymnasts, you miserable little bitch.
