Today may officially be the start of men’s Olympic podium training, but…come on.

Much more importantly, the gymnastics movie of our time, The Bronze, is out on DVD and Blu-Ray. Now. RIGHT NOW.

BUT WAIT. In honor of the release, the good people at The Bronze have provided me with two gift packages to give to two of you lucky readers, each package including a Blu-Ray copy of the movie, an Olympic Viewing Kit with all kinds of The Bronze-themed swag, and a bunch of special mystery prizes! (Good ones. Wardrobe and props from the movie.)

  3. Dominique Dawes, Floor Bronze, Atlanta, 1996. Such a relief to see her win an individual medal that was a gorgeous performance.

  7. The U.S. Women in 2000, who gained the bronze many years later when China was ruled ineligible. I just love all these girls, and even though it will always be an *** medal, I’m still super happy they got it. They all had some very difficult/bizarre circumstances to work through.

  11. Aliya Mustafina’s gutsy and gorgeous performance in the all around London 2012. She battled back from a major injury and a fall on beam.

    But probably Produnova’s bronze on beam, given that she was so incredible and came 4th in basically everything else she ever did ever despite the fact that she would have ruled the Olympics if she wasn’t injured.

  18. Aly Raisman 2012 Beam final. Score inquiry almost didn’t happen because Mihai didn’t have a freaking pen!

  23. Aly Raisman London Beam because of how she ran and hugged Mihai. It was just so cute.

  29. Dominique Dawes bronze on floor in Atlanta! I loved watching her do floor, so it was nice to see her walk away with an Olympic medal on floor. Also, I thought it was really nice “redemption” for her since her mistakes on floor probably cost her an all-around medal.

  33. I pick Aly Raisman London All Around. Because let’s face it, it should have been bronze. Tie breaker and moved to 4th was gymnastics robbery 😉

  35. Cheng Fei’s 2008 vault final. Only because of the shade thrown by Alicia Sacramone/Tim Dagget over her 4th place finish.

  40. Shannon Miller on floor exercise in 1992 because that routine was suited perfectly for her, she performed it so well, and she finished in third after going first!

  46. 1992 US Women’s Olympic Team Bronze. Started an Olympic team medal streak for the US women that is still alive in 2016…and beyond.

    1. Edit to say – obviously 2000 medal was awarded post-olympic games but 1992 team bronze was the beginning.

  49. My favorite all time bronze performance would be Nastia Liukin for the 2008 Beijing Floor Exercise. Thanks for the giveaway. This movie looks funny.
