A bit of a grab bag today. We’ve got Florida starting its season (in a streamed quad, so who knows how much of the other teams we’ll see), Alabama starting its season, and the first of the three Sprouts quads. So I’ll be bip-bopping around.
In prospective-lineups-on-virtius news, Florida has Skye Blakely going on bars, Sloane, Anya Pilgrim and Leanne Wong in the AA, and Selena Harris on 3. Alabama is leaning halfway into the freshmen, with Fuller, Kvamme, and Walker all on two events each. Michigan has booted Zabrowski and Guggino from lineups for today’s affair.
Rotation 1
Dicello here with a scooter.
Kraus with a bail fall for NIU.
Pilgrim – VT – FL – y1.5, solid, medium hop forward, knees. 9.800
Beaufait a little under rotated on front 2/1 for MSU but nice form. Also a little under on 1.5 to lay.
Wong – VT – FL – ro 1/2 on pike 1/2, very strong, small scoot, chest up better. 9.875
Nebraska with some wobbles on beam but hitting.
Solid 1.5 to front full for Zsarmani. Glad we’re seeing some other teams but we did miss Ly Bui’s vault. Y1.5 for 9.775.
Drake White rights the ship for NIU on bars with a big gienger, going after 2 misses.
Sloane Blakely – vt – FL – Y1.5, bigger lunge forward, .150 probably. 9.775
Nebraska cruising through beam early, clean series from Sikon, check on switch 1/2. Step back on 1.5.
Ferris – vt – FL – y1.5, good height, nearly shows stick, little lean out to salute. Good one. And the Florida home scores start rolling with 9.950.
How dare he call her Emma Spencer. Strong beam routine.
NIU having a time on bars with another fall in the 5th spot.
Harris – VT – FL – “the nudest Gator” is what he said – short landing on y1.5 with bounce back. Still gets 9.800.
Florida vaults 49.200. Thought scoring started fairly then got a little excited.
Long wait for Kalefe’s score on floor. McClelland with good hit for Nebraska to finish beam, should keep them in sight of Florida. 49.175 for Nebraska. Really good rotation.
Lazzari vaults exhibition 1.5, big lunge forward. 9.725
Secure FTDT landing for Harkness. Deep on front to double tuck with hop. 9.775.
Stephen- fx – MSU – front to rudi, little bounce – good height on switch 1/2 to wolf full – her loso to knee is a little formy – front 2/1, slide. 9.850
Nikki Smith – fx – MSU – FTDT, chest down, some foot movement – struggles on popa in combo, under and uncontrolled landing – strong front to double tuck, good landing.
Stephanie Lebster in exhibition for msu, bounce back on rudi, gets front 2/1, just a little under rotated
Still waiting on Nikki Smith’s score and a possible revision on Kalefe’s score.
But Florida’s 49.200 will have a slight lead on Nebraska’s 49.175 after 1.
9.750 for Smith, 48.900 floor for MSU. Beaufait’s 9.650 up to 9.700 after inquiry. SV discrepancy between judges.
