It’s a day for the Big 18 conference, with all the teams in action. I’ll start with Washington’s visit to Rutgers, but we also have Nebraska and Illinois going simultaneously.

The Rutgers news this week was Umme Salim-Beasley officially being put on administrative leave. I love that they call it administrative leave, like she’s taking a semester off to give birth to a timesheet. So, it will be an interesting weekend for Rutgers.

Rotation 1

Chevaire – vt – rutgers – yfull tucked, bounce back. 9.575

Oppegard – ub – uw – hits jaeger, good feet – short hs – hits bail, small pike – better hs on high – dlo, solid. 9.800

Adrian – vt – rutgers – y1/2, large bound forward (“little bit of step”) and a pike throughout. 9.550

McWilliams – us – washington – jaeger to overshoot is hit, lower leg form on both – hits dlo, some pike and small movement. 9.750

Pagliaro – vt – rutgers – solid amplitude on yfull, hop back, little pike. 9.775

Lin – ub – uw – hits gienger with some foot form – overshoot, small leg break – ftdt, good control, chest down. 9.700

Riley – vt – rutgers – y1.5, hits it with some good distance, small step, knees throughout. 9.800

McDonough – ub – uw – over on her first hs, corrects and keeps going but lots of extra swings – nice feet on jaeger to overshoot – and now falls on a hs on high. 8.650

Aird – vt – rutgers – solid distance on yfull, ends up with a step back, some pike. 9.775

Russon – ub – uw – hits first hs – jaeger is a bit close and then overshoot is very close, muscles and extra swings – finishes with nice dlo but that will have to count. 9.300

Dildy – vt – rutgers – good height on yfull but fairly large bounce back. 9.750

Navarro – ub – washington – short first hs – maloney to bail, small leg separations – balance check stepping up to high, adds a toe circle to get up there – very short hs – ftdt, small step. 9.525

It all went to pieces in the second half of that rotation for Washington for a 48.075, which now trails the Rutgers 48.675 on vault. That’s a season high vault for Rutgers.

Meanwhile Nebraska goes 49.200 on bars to lead Illinois’s 48.875 vault.

Rotation 2

Navarro – vt – washington – yfull, lineup switch with McWilliams – clean in the air but a large bounce back. 9.625

Uhlenberg – ub – rutgers – jaeger a little low, adds a swing into clear hip to pak, couldn’t get her grip over and falls – finishes dlo step back. 9.225

Mouyenga – vt – uw – best control on yfull so far. 9.750

Dinovi – ub – rutgers – good foot positions – maloney to pak with leg separations – giant full to double tuck, chest down, bounce forward – great until dismount. 9.725

Innes – vt – uw – high on table, bounce back on yfull. 9.800

McDonough – vt – uw – good control on yfull, pikes down, probably distance deduction. 9.775

Smith – ub – rutgers – nice maloney to pak form, giant full past vertical, into double tuck dismount, good stick. 9.825

Bolden – vt – uw – a little less control on yfull with a bigger bounce and pike. 9.725

Adrian – ub – rutgers – good first hs – hits tkatchev to pak, loss of rhythm after pak but keeps going fine – giant full to double tuck, stuck. 9.775

Schenkel – ub – rutgers – piked jaeger to overshoot, hand slips off swinging through and falls – counting fall now – large arch on hs on high on resuming, pulls it back – hop on double tuck

Washington vaults only five, matches Rutgers in 48.675 there.

Lorente- Garcia – ub – rutgers – maloney to pak, some leg separation – dlo, step forward, chest down. 9.650

48.200 bars for Rutgers, so they’ll keep the lead.

After 2: Rutgers 96.875, Washington 96.750

Nebraska and Illinois both went 49.200 on bars and 48.8s on vault, so that thing is super close. Although Illinois is starting beam with an fall.

Rotation 3

Aird – bb – rutgers – candle mo unt, a bit past – bhs loso, wobble, keeps it on – switch to switch 1/2, some rhythm but will probably get the combo – front gainer full, step. 9.725

McWilliams – fx – uw – rudi to loso, hit, a bit of leg crossing – switch side 1/2ish to straddles – double pike, well short and hands down. 9.050

Pagliaro – bb – rutgers – switch, pause to switch 1/2, under split, to beat – bhs loso, solid, good height – another front gainer full, good stick. 9.800

Oppegard – fx- uw – rudi to straddle jump, some travel back – 1.5 to layout, under control on step, a little low – switch ring 1/2 – switch ring to switch 1/2, under split – 9.725

Adrian – bb – rutgers – good posture on full turn – bhs loso, secure – switch to straddle 1/2, solid back leg on switch, kickover, holds it – 2/1, hop back. Very nice. 9.800

Bolden – fx – uw – double pike, some bounce – double tuck, chest down a little with a rebound – switch 1/2 to wolf full, underturned a little – front lay to front lay, which we don’t see much anymore and won’t start from 10. 9.225.

So she has a bonus .1 for the double pike, .1 for the double tuck, and .1 for the dance combo, but a 9.7 start.

Manifold – bb – rutgers – bhs loso, easy – ct leap to side aerial, chest a little off center but holds it – split to straddle 3/4, good positions, lean correction – side aerial to 1.5, hop to the side. 9.800

Russon – fx – uw – double pike, good control – front lay to front full, under control, a little low from this angle – switch leap, split 1.5 attempt, under split and under rotated – credit question for me but probably not for them

Riley – bb – rutgers – solid loso – split to split 3/4 with wobble – side aerial with a leg up check – 1.5 dmt, hop forward. 9.725

We do have a delay on Russon’s score – presumably convo over that split 1.5. Comes out as 9.6 with a SV discrepancy.

McDonough – fx – uw – rudi to loso, good height, some leaning – split leap full to popa, good height, a little under rotated – front 2/1, nice lands a little deep with correction – 9.800

Dildy – bb – rutgers – kickover, keeps right arm moving to bhs – cat leap to switch side, secure, crooked split angle – straddle 1/4, solid – gainer full, chest down, holds the stick. 9.775

Innes – fx – uw – front 2/1 to front pike, smooth – split leap full to popa, a little under on split leap position – back 1.5 to lay, elegant position, good height – rudi to straight jump. Highlight. 9.850

Washington gets SVed out of commission there for 48.200 on floor and Rutgers breaks open the lead with 48.900 on beam.

After 3: Rutgers 145.775, Washington 144.900

Rotation 4

Innes – bb – uw – full turn – aerial, leans through a check to connect into bhs – cat leap to side aerial, holds it – switch to straddle 1/4, good positions – 1.5 dmt – 9.800

uhlenberg – fx – rutgers – double pike, some chest position, hop to present – switch 1/2 to wolf full, good completion on wolf full – front lay front 1/1, under control – double tuck, solid. 9.800

Oppegard – bb – uw – bhs loso, secure, chest down – switch to switch 1/2 to beat, also under control, under on switch 1/2 position – side aerial with a check – gainer full stuck. 9.800

Jones – fx – rutgers – double pike, slide back – switch 1/2 to popa, around – front lay to rudi, chest down, stutter hops to the side – 1.5 to layout, dance out quickly. 9.775

Russon – bb – uw – aerial to bhs bhs, secure – switch to ring jump, low front leg if attempting split – 1.5 dmt, good stick. 9.875

Adrian – fx – rutgers – back 1.5 to front full, lower causes a side step – switch 1/2 to wolf 1.5 and should get credit for the 1.5 turn – rudi, shows control. 9.600

McDonough – bb – uw – bhs loso, good height, secure – cat leap to side aerial, high but too high, falls – switch to split, solid positions – 2/1, large lunge back. 9.100

Goldsmith – fx – rutgers – front 2/1, crossover step – front full to lay, solid – switch side to wolf full, good switch side – rudi to lay to straddle, under control well. 9.750

Hallinan – bb – uw – kickover, small pause to back tuck, check – switch combo is clean – aerial to beat – 1.5, hop forward. 9.775

Aird – fx – rutgers – double pike, just holds that front foot down – switch 1/2 to wolf full, around, a little under on wolf position – lay to front full, solid height – double tuck, bounce back, keeps it in bounds 9.700

Navarro – bb – uw – bhs bhs loso, holds on without a check – beat to switch side, a little tight – 1.5 dmt, little hop. 9.850

Dildy – fx – rutgers – front tuck through to double tuck, little bounce – switch side 1/2 to popa, around – double pike, under control, chest down

Another conference on floor. Shouldn’t be a SV thing. I had her with 6 tenths of bonus. We resolve to 9.750, with a 9.850/9.650 split.

I mean I agree.

FINAL: Rutgers 194.550, Washington 194.050

Rutgers will be pleased with the win but on the lower side of their totals so far this season. Washington will need to drop that 194.0.

Illinois came back to beat Nebraska after Nebraska had a miss on beam, winning 196.275 to 195.600.

Minnesota v Penn State Rotation 1

Pearl – VT – Minnesota – yfull, good pop off the table – bounce up, piking. 9.750

Johanson – UB – Penn St – Stream missed her routine, fun. 9.800

Steensland – VT – Minnesota – yfull, medium bounce back, small piking, solid. 9.775

Leary – UB – Penn St – blind to jaeger to overshoot, solid amplitude – nice hs – giant full to double tuck, bounce back. 9.725

Moraw – VT – Minnesota – yfull, pretty open in the air, step back. 9.825

Latronica – ub – Penn St – hits piked jaeger, some feet – clean bail – toe on to pike 1/2 dmt, hop. 9.825

Crump – VT – minnesota – y1.5, large lunge forward. Still gets 9.800, which is a lot

Gallentine – UB – Penn St – toe on to maloney to pak, legs together well – good hs position on high – dlo, small bounce. 9.825

Stewart – vt – minnesota – y1.5, gets the stick, comes in a little low but holds onto it with a lean. 9.925

Barbanente – UB – Penn St – hits piked jaeger to ov3ershoot, good height, some foot position – dlo, good stick. 9.850

Hooten – vt – minnesota – y1.5, great height, step forward. 9.850

Johnston – ub – Penn St – toe on to maloney to bail, good form – some borderline hs, giant full to double tuck, stuck, chest down. 9.825

Nguyen hit a 1.5 in exhibition for Minnesota, so that should go in the 6.

After 1: Minnesota 49.175, Penn State 49.125

I feel like we shouldn’t have to do judges conferences on exhibitions. Those routines aren’t real, you can be out of range, no one cares.

Elsewhere, Stanford vaulted a 49.100 to NC State’s 48.900 on bars. Iowa has taken a surprise .025 lead over Ohio State after 3 events.

Rotation 2

Vihrova – VT – Penn St – hs front pike, medium lunge forward. 9.750

Jencks – UB – Minnesota – tkatchev, hit, just a tad close – bail, gets there, slightly shy of vertical – tight cast hs on high- dlo, little step back. 9.725

Kaempfer – vt – Penn St – yfull, pretty large bounce back. 9.725

Nguyen – UB – Minnesota – jaeger, takes it too far and falls – needs to the jaeger because her hands didn’t touch the first time – tries but goes over on her blind change and falls again – now resumes with an overshoot – back to high, casts over again for third fall – finishes dlo, step back

Leary – VT – Penn St – yfull, good amplitude, little bounce, solid 9.825

Going to take a long time to come up with Nguyen’s score. And it’s 7.700.

Crump – UB – Minnesota – big arch on hs but pulls it back – maloney to pak is well done – short hs on high, dlo, step back. 9.625

McElligott – VT – Penn St – yfull, a little bit more pike, good distance, small hop back

Stewart – UB – Minnesota – maloney to pak, clean leg position – van leeuwen in good – double front starts out kind of piked but then tucks and lands somewhat awkwardly with a stumble. 9.650

Johanson – VT – Penn St – another solid yfull with some pike and small hop back. 9.800

Lyden – UB – Minnesota – toe on to maloney to bail, fine – hits hs non high – dlo, good distance, stuck. 9.875

Johnston – VT – Penn St – high yfull, a bit more piking – hop. 9.750

Hooten – UB – Minnesota – piked jaeger, fingertips it into solid overshoot – a bit shy on hb handstand – ftdt, hop forward. 9.825

Very ragged bars there from Minnesota for 48.700, which cedes the lead to Penn State.

After 2: Penn State 98.075, Minnesota 97.875

Iowa counted a fall on beam in the final rotation to drop the meet to Ohio State 196.275 to 195.200.

More exhibitions for Minnesota that probably should have been in the lineup.

Rotation 3

Koch – BB – Minnesota – loso series, holds landing with on e leg off the beam – beat to straddle 3/4, hit – kickover to nastia, smooth – 1.5, stuck. 9.800

Leary – FX – Penn St – front 2/1 to front tuck, bouncy and some leg crossing – switch ring to wolf hop full, a little scratchy – back 1.5 to lay, solid control. 9.650

Stewart – Bb – Minnesota – split to split ring jump, solid height and secure – aerial to korbut, smooth – wolf turn – gainer full, step back. 9.825

Maul – FX – Penn St – double tuck, good efficient tuck position – switch 1/2 to popa popa, ends up a tad under, not back – 1.5 to layout is short, loses form to get it to her feet. 9.650

Moraw – BB – Minnesota – bhs loso, secure – cat leap to side aerial, also right on – beat to straddle 3/4, holds it – gainer full, stuck. 9.850

Kaempfer – FX – Penn St – solid double tuck control – switch 1/2 to popa, just a little under on switch 1/2 split – back n1.5 to layout attempt, thankfully did not decapitate herself, very low layout and falls – finishes rudi to straddle jump

Lyden – BB – Minnesota – candle mount, some angle – wolf double secure – bhs loso, solid – hitch kick to switch side, solid, little foot adjustment on landing – 1.5, stuck. 9.850

Johanson – FX – Penn St – double pike, chest down, solid landing – baby crawling choreo – 1.5 to 1/2, hit – switch side to popa, some indistinct finish positions – double tuck, short with step forward. 9.750

Pearl – BB – Minnesota – bhs loso, small check to the side – confident full turn – switch to straddle 1/4, lean forward correction – aerial to beat is good – gainer full, bounce back. 9.700

McElligott – FX – Penn St – double tuck, solid chest position – switch ring to switch ring 1/2, lower position on the 1/2 – 1.5 to layout, crossover step but mostly under control.m9.825

Rowray – bb – Minnesota – bhs loso, solid, good feet – switch to straddle 1/4, hits her splits – kickover, secure – switch side, excellent – front gainer full, step back. Excellent on the beam. 9.875

Herring – FX – Penn St – double arabian, hits it, a little deep in landing – good straddle positions on switch side to 1/2 straddle – back 1.5 to layout, off slightly on timing with a whippy layout but hit. 9.850

Minnesota solid on beam with 49.200 to take back the lead against a pretty ragged floor rotation from Penn State form 48.725

After 3: Minnesota 147.075, Penn State 146.800

A 49.375 beam has Stanford rolling into the last rotation with a good shot at a 197.

Rotation 4

Maul – BB – Penn St – bhs bhs loso, secure, chest down – switch, little pause before straddle 1/4, good split positions – 1.5, holds the stick with a little direction. 9.800

Jencks – FX – Minnesota – long delay, working out a lineup change? – front 2/1, good control, some leg crossing – switch 1/2 to popa, around – 1.5 to layout, a tad low – rudi to straddle jump, some travel forward. 9.800

McElligott – BB – Penn St – bhs bhs loso, arm wave, holds it – switch to straddle 1/4, tight straddle position – 1.5, holds stick with lean. 9.800

Steensland – FX – Minnesota – rudi to loso, solid – 2.5, a little short with hop to the side – switch 1/2 to wolf full, slightly under – back 1.5 to layout, under control, wants a little more rise into layout. 9.725

Salcedo – BB – Penn St – bhs loso, hit, little foot adjustment, front tuck, also hit, dances out of it quickly – nice position on wolf jump – split to straddle 3/4, a little tight but secure – front full, nice stick. 9.825

Pearl – FX – Minnesota – Back 1.5 to front lay, good example of rise in that connected layout, has the height to stay in a straight layout – switch side 1/2 to popa, around well – double pike, bounce back. 9.800

Latronica – BB – Penn St – beat to aerial, wobble, bend at the hips to horizontal and turn to the side – bhs loso, secure – split to split ring – gainer full, some pike and slide back. 9.600

Gonsioroski – FX – Minnesota – FTDT, not bad chest position on landing – switch side to popa – back 1.5 to comfortable front pike – double tuck, under control, chest a bit lower. 9.850

Herring – BB – Penn St – kickover, a little slow into bhs but should get it – nice height on switch side – beat to straddle 3/4, secure – punch tuck front full, stuck

Koch – FX – Minnesota – front 2/1, controls the step – split leap full to wolf full, under split on split leap – back 1.5 to layout, good – rudi, solid control there as well. 9.875

Conference on Herring’s beam. Gets her SV. 9.750.

Johnston – BB – Penn St – bhs loso, secure, chest a little down – split to wolf, check – beat to side aerial, smooth – gainer full, well short with hop forward.9.725

Hooten – FX – Minnesota – ftdt, controls her step – switch side to popa, a little under split – back 1.5 to front pike, solid – double tuck, comfortable. She has tape on her inner thigh and I notice that straddle was not as split as it usually is. 9.925

Minnesota goes 49.250 on floor to take the win on 196.325 to Penn State’s 195.700.

Stanford does break 197 with a 197.025 to beat NC State’s 195.925.

Preliminary lineups show UCLA is letting it ride with the same lineups as last meet.

Pleasure to hear Christina on the call.

Rotation 1

Buckmon – VT – Maryland – yfull, solid, small hop back, piking

Campbell – UB – UCLA – shorter first hs – malo ney to bail, solid – better hs on high – short double front, didn’t gt a lot of height there, hop back. 9.775

Hammer – VT – Maryland – yfull, good height, medium bounce back

Rosen – UB – UCLA – toe to maloney to pak, good form – hitting hs – dlo, a little short, hop forward. 9.800

Rech – VT – Maryland – yfull, bou8nce back and arm wave to control, slight direction

Webstwer-Longin – UB – UCLA – good hs – maloney to pak is clean – a little short on 1/2 turn on low and hs on high – clear hip to FTDT, short with hop. 9.750

LeBlanc – VT – Maryland – yfull, mostly controls with a small hop, pikes down. No scores yet for Maryland’s vault.

McGowan – UB – UCLA -clear hip to tkatchev hit, connects to bail, short of handstand – DLO, a little short with a step. 9.850. Doesn’t need the bail hs for difficulty but it’s kind of in between

Kogler – VT – Maryland – runs past the vault, doesn’t touch so can vault again – but looks like she won’t.

Esparza – UB – UCLA – maloney to bhardwaj is pretty clean – van leeuwen, good – short hs on high – dlo slide back. 9.900

Rothenbuescher – VT – Maryland – tsuk 1/1, gets her landing, chest down, and some leg separation on block

Chiles – UB – good hs – piked jaeger to pak, clean – good 1/2 turn on low – solid hs positions – FTDT, little foot adjustment

And we have a 10 for Chiles. Dismount height and landing position kind of on her heels weren’t 10 for me.

Martin vaults 1.5 for Maryland, knees, little hop. So wait they can replace Kogler after a run through? 9.875

After 1: Chiles 49.325, Maryland 48.950

Chiles saves the rotation score for UCLA there after wom e dismount timing issues early in the lineup.

OK Rothenbuescher’s replacement vault score now in as a 0. We’ll see how this plays out.

Rotation 2

Lee – VT – UCLA – yfull, clean, small hop back. 9.850

Gatzendorfer – UB – Maryland – toe to maloney to pak, legs on pak -1/2 turn on low – solid final cast hs – stalder to double tuck good stic. 9.800

Campbell – VT – UCLA – finds the stick on yfull today for 9.900

Kondo – UB – Maryland – tight first hs – hits high jaeger to overshoot – some angle on handstands – dlo, good stick. 9.950 is high and we’re really soaring now.

Chiles – VT – UCLA – ro 1/2 on tuck 1/2 is short today, chest down, step forward. 9.775

Merchant – UB – Maryland – hits hs – toe to high Ray – close catch which follows to overshoot, close catch and leg separation and rhythm – DLO 1/1 is good, holds stick with lean. 9.550

McGowan – VT – UCLA 0- y1.5 with a giant lunge forward today. 9.750

Rothenbuescher – UB – Maryland – short hs – blinmd to jaeger, solid into overshoot, a little low on jaeger – short hs on high – ftdt, slide back. 9.775

Webster-Longin – VT – UCLA – short y1.5 and sits it down

LeBlanc – UB – Maryland – short hs – jaeger, hit, some foot flexing, bail, good vertical, small leg separation – short hs – dlo, small foot movement. 9.850

UCLA vault saved by a good front half there to get to 49.150, but it fell apart in the second half. Maryland closes the gap with some big bars numbers for 49.250.

Rosen sits her Y1.5 in exhibition.

After 2: UCLA 98.475, Maryland 98.200

Rotation 3

Hammer – BB – Maryland – bhs bhs loso, bit break, bend at hips past horizontal, stays on – kickover, holds with arm correction – switch 1/2 wobble – gainer full, hop back. 9.475

Rosen – FX- UCLA – camera i n the ceiling for some reason – controls double tuck – double pike, leg separation and chest but controls it – switch ring to switch 1/2 to wolf full, mostly around – jbacik 1.5, misses her timing, tucks her connection and sits it. 9.150

Brendlinger – BB – Maryland – bhs loso, secure, foot flexing – cat to switch 1/2, short of split but secure – kickover, nice save without wobble since one foot was very crooked – 1.5, step forward 9.800

Malabuyo – FX – UCLA – double pike, bounce back – switch ring to switch 1/2 to wolf full, around – wolf double – back 1.5 to layout, a little hopriozontal but fine. 9.850

Rothenbuescher – BB – Maryland – kickover to bhs, wobble – switch to switch side 1/4 ish, large break, lean to the side – 2/1, chest down, larger crossover step. 9.600

McGowan – FX – UCLA – ftdt, chest up, little bounce – switch side 1/4 to straddle 3/4 – back 1.5 to mfront full, solid height, quick hop to present. 9.900

Gatzendorfer – BB – Maryland – bhs bhs loso, completely off the beam and falls – breaks a switch to split connection as well – gainer pike stuck. 8.725

Moors – FX – UCLA – fro t 2/1 to front tuck, good – loso side pass, great – switch to switch 1/2 to wolf full, comfortable – rudi, under control – looked like one of her best. 9.950

Martin – BB – Maryland – bhs loso, solid control – cat to side aerial, off line and falls – big meltdown rotation for Maryland – switch to switch – 1.5 dismount, lunge to the side. 8.950

Campbell – FX – UCLA – ftdt, shorter with step forward – split leap to popa, behind scoreboard but looked fine – double tuck, under control – front lay to front full, hit. 9.875 with a minimum .150 deduction on first pass.

Komoroski – BB – one arm bhs to loso, smooth – aerial, little correction – switch to split, good feet – 1.5 hop forward. 9.850

Chiles – BB – UCLA – dlo, controls it – split full to wolf full, fine – front tuck through to double tuck, under control, chest down. 9.950

After 3: UCLA 148.000, Maryland 145.875

A balance beam situation for Maryland means this won’t be a counting score. A big floor score for UCLA puts them about on track to match last week as long as the beam isn’t poison.

Chiles has now been moved into the beam lineup in place of Rosen.

Rotation 4

Lee – BB – UCLA – aerial to split, clean – bhs loso, check – switch to straddle, comfortable – almost hesitation on full turn – gainer full, holds onto stick – 9.925 with a wobble, usually it’s perfect for 9.900

Brendlinger – FX – Maryland – ftdt, well short, chest down, big lunge forward – switch side to wolf full wolf full – front full to front lay is solid, 9.650

Chiles – BB – UCLA – bhs loso, secure – cat leap to switch side, wobble, leg up and arm wave – beat to side aerial, check – 2/1, medium one tenth bounce – shaky but ok. 9.775

Rech -FX – Maryland – front 2/1, slide forward – double tuck, good control – split full to wolf full, undwer split on full – back 1.5 to layout, a little low but gets it. 9.875

Campbell – BB – UCLA – bhs layish, secure – split to switch 1/2, minor arm adjustment cover – gainer full, stuck. 9.900

A second countable road score in a row for UCLA. Maryland’s beam troubles will mean this one needs to be a drop.

  1. Is Macy doing a bail to handstand or an overshoot? She’s so high for overshoot and too low for bail

    1. Basically, if it’s not a handstand, it’s an acceptable overshoot. I agree they don’t look great when they are high but not a handstand, but apparently it’s not a deduction.

  2. This camerawork on the UCLA/Maryland meet is making me motion sick. Come on Big 10, please use some experienced camera people!

    1. During one of the NCAA MAG meets I watched recently, they said Big10+ streams are almost completely student produced. I think that goes for all sports, not just MAG. Considering some of the streams I’ve watched for sports events in other conferences, I suspect that’s what most conferences/schools do. It makes sense for getting broadcasting students experience, but it’s not always great to watch. Hopefully things will improve as the season goes on.
